Empty Bowl Project2018-04-27T13:15:58+00:00

The Empty Bowl Project returns to CENT Credit Union on May 7!

CENT Credit Union will be hosting  and sponsoring the annual Hawkeye Harvest Food Bank’s Empty Bowl project. The event will be held from May 7-May 18th during regular business hours. More than 60 bowls will be on display for purchase during the event.
Bowls have been created and donated for the event by local professional artists, local individuals and students from Central Spring High School in Manly.
Bowls will be on display at CENT Credit Union’s downtown location on West State Street and at their Hwy 122 West location.
The  empty bowls will be available for fifteen dollars for those that were created by local artists or the Central Spring high school students. Professionally created bowls are priced at twenty five dollars.

From 2017:

UPDATE: Thank you to all who helped us support Hawkeye Harvest Food Bank during their 2nd annual Empty Bowl Project!

CENT Credit Union is proud to sponsor and partner with Hawkeye Harvest Food Bank in their 2nd annual Empty Bowl Project.  Bowls have been created by local artists, students, employees and good samaritans and will be available for donations of either $20.00 or $50.00 beginning May 1 at either CENT location.

Thanks to KIMT for their story on the project:

Bring your purchased bowl to The CENTer on Friday, May 19 for a free soup luncheon provided by Hy-Vee.  All proceeds from the bowls will directly benefit Hawkeye Harvest Food Bank.

Want a bowl but don’t like soup?  Not a problem. Feel free to buy a bowl and keep it as your own!
